Half plain flour and half wholemeal flour

Recipe Ingredients for Sue's Shortbread with Wholemeal Flour yummy

75 g wholemeal flour
75 g plain flour
100 g butter, softened
50 g caster sugar

Recipe Directions for Sue's Shortbread with Wholemeal Flour yummy

  1. Preheat oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4.

  2. Mix all ingredients in a food processor until like coarse breadcrumbs almost coming together.

  3. Tip onto flour-dusted kitchen surface and push mix together with hands, and roll out into 5mm thick dough. Roll between 2 pices of clingfilm if this is easier.

  4. Cut into shapes with a biscuit cutter or knife.

  5. Place on baking tray and bake for 6-10 minutes depending on size, until pale golden and firm on top.

  6. Cool on wire rack.
