Recipe Ingredients for Sue's Sausage Patties yummy

250 g sausage meat
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 fresh chili pepper, chopped
1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
1 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 medium egg
55 g white bread, broken and bashed into rough crumbs
45 g weetabix (2 biscuits)
1 1/2 tsp dijon mustard
1/2 tbs extra virgin olive oil

Recipe Directions for Sue's Sausage Patties yummy

  1. Process bread and weetabix in a food processor, or wrap in a plastic bag or teatowel and bash with a rolling pin until broken into crumbs.

  2. Pull rosemary leaves from stalk and chop finely.

  3. Finely chop garlic and fresh chili.

  4. Place in large bowl, and add sausage meat, oregano, salt, pepper, bread, weetabix and mustard.

  5. Break egg into the bowl and mix together with hands.

  6. Divide into 4 balls and flatten into patties or hamburger shapes.

  7. Fry in hot olive oil until cooked through - check there is no pink meat remaining.

  8. Serve as you like - with spaghetti and homemade tomato sauce; with a big pile of steamed green vegetables; or with salad between 2 slices of crusty bread.
