Recipe Ingredients for Sue's Beer Battered Oven Grilled Fish yummy

400 g Haddock
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/3 cup beer
1 egg white
1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
60 g white bread, broken into chunks
1/2 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
1 pinch of sea salt
1/2 tsp extra virgin olive oil

Recipe Directions for Sue's Beer Battered Oven Grilled Fish yummy

  1. Preheat oven grill to 230C/450F/high.

  2. Coat the bottom of a baking pan with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  3. Combine flour, pepper, and garlic salt in a large bowl.

  4. Add beer and stir well.

  5. Beat egg white until stiff peaks form.

  6. Gently fold egg whites into flour mixture.

  7. Place bread, parsley, black pepper and salt in food processor and blend until consistency of breadcrumbs. Add olive oil (to help crispiness) and blend in. Place breadcrumbs mix in shallow dish.

  8. Dip fish into the flour mixture and then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture. Place on the prepared baking sheet.

  9. Bake in low shelf of preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  10. Move baking tray to top shelf under grill, and grill for 1 minute or until tops are lightly browned.

  11. Serve with homemade chunky chips and mushy peas.
