A way to use up leftover apples. Either 4 modest servings or 2 huge ones.

Recipe Ingredients for Sue's Apple Cheese Foldover Pie yummy

1 small apple
20 g cheddar cheese
100 g wholemeal self raising flour
50 g flora original margarine
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
1 tsp milk

Recipe Directions for Sue's Apple Cheese Foldover Pie yummy

  1. Preheat oven to 180C.

  2. Rub in margarine and flour to make pastry.

  3. Roll out pastry into a round.

  4. Core and de-seed apples and chop into small slices.

  5. Grate cheddar roughly.

  6. Put apples and grated cheddar in centre of pastry round, fold edge of pastry over and press to make a rustic open top pie.

  7. Brush top of pastry with milk.

  8. Bake for 20-30 minutes.
