Recipe Ingredients for stuffed shells

2 cups tomato sauce
3/4 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp black pepper
1 cup fat-free ricotta cheese
3 oz shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
3/4 tsp dried basil
3/4 tsp table salt
3/4 tsp dried oregano
12 oz. pasta

Recipe Directions for stuffed shells

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.

  2. Boil water for cooking shells.

  3. Mix together ricotta and 1 1/2 oz mozzarella cheese, salt, garlic powder, oregano, basil, and pepper.

  4. Spread a few spoonfuls of tomato sauce on bottom of a 9- x 13-inch baking dish.

  5. When cooked shells are cool enough to handle, fill each shell with cheese mixture and place in baking dish. When all shells are in dish, spoon remaining tomato sauce over shells. Cover pan and bake for 20 minutes. sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and let stand covered 5 minutes before serving. Yields about 4 shells per serving. without mozzarella=4 points per serving.
