Recipe Ingredients for Stuffed Red Bell Peppers

457 grams Fresh Ground Turkey - Lean
6 small Peppers, Sweet, Red
2 tbsp chopped Onions
1 cup Rice, White, Long-grain, Regular, Cooked
1 tsp Salt, Table
1 clove Garlic
15 oz Pasta Sauce
0.75 cup Fancy Mozzarella Shredded Cheese

Recipe Directions for Stuffed Red Bell Peppers

  1. Remove thin slice from stem end of each pepper. Remove seeds and membranes, rinse peppers. If neccessary cut thin slice from buttom so they stand up straight. In baking dish place peppers in a preheated 350 degree oven, let bake 20 minutes while preparing stuffing.

  2. In skillet cook turkey, until no longer pink, drain if necessary. Add cooked rice, garllic, salt, and 1 cup tomato sauce. Cook till warm.

  3. Take peppers out of oven, fill with stuffing . pour remaing tomato sauce over peppers.

  4. Cover tightly with foil. Bake 20-25 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with cheese, place bake in oven to melt cheese.
