Recipe Ingredients for Stuffed Peppers

4 red or yellow peppers
3/4 c. rice,dry
1 1/2 lbs. 80% ground beef
1 large onion
28 oz. tomato puree
1 can condensed tomato soup
2 tablespoons Heinz ketchup

Recipe Directions for Stuffed Peppers

Clean and halve peppers. Precook rice for 10 minutes. Drain and cool. Finely mince onion and add to ground beef and onions. Salt and pepper to taste. Combine all tomato products together for sauce. Mix about 1/2 cup sauce into ground beef mixture. Stuff peppers and place in a greased casserole dish deep enough to cover them with sauce.Pour the sauce over, cover and bake at 350 until peppers are tender and meat mixture is well cooked, at least an hour.
