Peppers stuffed with beef and rice, topped with tomato sauce

Recipe Ingredients for stuffed peppers

1/2 lbs ground beef
2 small sweet red peppers
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic
1/2 cup cooked rice
1 cup Hunts Tomato Sauce, No Salt Added
2 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Recipe Directions for stuffed peppers

  1. saute beef with onions and garlic

  2. add rice

  3. mix together tomato sauce and honey, add half to skillet

  4. place beef mixture into peppers

  5. top with the rest of the tomato sauce/honey mixture

  6. bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour

  7. for lower sodium intake, use no salt added tomato sauce
