Peppers stuffed with ground beef, rice, etc. (Baked)

Recipe Ingredients for Stuffed Peppers

6 bell peppers
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. of garlic powder
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 cup cooked rice
8 oz. tomato sauce
1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese

Recipe Directions for Stuffed Peppers

  1. * You may want to add 1 tsp. of salt and double the tomato sauce if not following a low sodium diet.*

  2. Cut off stem and remove seeds from inside pepper. Soften in boiling water.

  3. Cook ground beef, onion, and garlic powder in skillet until browned. Stir in rice and 1/2 of tomato sauce. Heat until hot.

  4. Preheat oven to 350. Stuff peppers with mixture. Stand up in baking dish. Cover with remaining sauce and bake for covered 45min. Uncover and bake 15 min. more. Top with cheese.
