Recipe Ingredients for Stuffed Peppers

6 sweet green peppers
12 oz beef, ground, 95% lean
2 tbsp chopped onion
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp garlic salt
1 cup cooked rice
15 oz can tomato sauce

Recipe Directions for Stuffed Peppers

  1. Cut thin slice from stem ends of peppers

  2. Remove seeds and membranes

  3. Rinse, cook in boiling water 5 minutes; drain

  4. Cook and stir beef and onion in skilled

  5. Drain fat

  6. Stir in salt, garlic salt, rice and 1 cup sauce

  7. Heat through

  8. Stuff each pepper with mixture

  9. Stand upright in baking dish

  10. Pour remaining sauce over peppers

  11. Cover; cook 350 degrees 45 minutes

  12. Uncover; cook 15 minutes
