Peppers stuffed with rice and meat

Recipe Ingredients for Stuffed Peppers

3 medium (approx 2-3/4" long, 2-1/2" dia) Peppers, Sweet, Green
1 small Onions
1 cup Rice, Brown, Medium-grain, Cooked
1 cup Soup, Chicken Broth
4 clove Garlic
2 portion ( yield from 1/2 lb raw meat ) Beef, Ground, 85% Lean Meat / 15% Fat, Crumbles
15 oz Tomato Sauce

Recipe Directions for Stuffed Peppers

  1. Preheat over to 350.

  2. Cook rice in chicken broth

  3. Brown the meat and drain fat.

  4. Saute onions and garlic, add meat and 8 ounces of tomato sauce. Add italian seasonings or any flavor you'd like. Set aside.

  5. Slice raw peppers in half and place hollow side up in a deep baking dish.

  6. Add meat mixture to each pepper and rice on top. Spoon the rest of the tomato sauce over the rice and sprinkle italian seasonings.

  7. Place stuffed peppers into the oven and cook for 45 minutes to an hour. (Or until peppers are tender)
