This can be prepared with canned crab meat instead of sausage. Just experiment to see what your family likes best. I like to cut up the stems and saute them in a little olive oil, then add the crab meat and cream cheese before stuffing the mushroom caps. Just bake until heated through and browned on top if you use this method.

Recipe Ingredients for Stuffed Mushrooms

32 mushrooms
1/2 lb. sausage (brown and drain)
8 oz. fat-free cream cheese
1/4 c. parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Stuffed Mushrooms

  1. Mix together and stuff mushroom caps.

  2. Place in baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
