Recipe Ingredients for stuffed green peppers

5 large (2-1/4 per lb, approx 3-3/4" long, 3" dia) Peppers, Sweet, Green
16 oz raw 90% Lean Ground Sirloin
1 small Onions
2 clove Garlic
16 oz Tomato Sauce
2 tsp Oregano, Ground
3 tsp, ground Basil, Dried
1 cup dry Natural Brown Rice
1 tsp Garlic Salt

Recipe Directions for stuffed green peppers

  1. Cook rice per directions

  2. Brown hamburger with chopped onion and garlic

  3. mix 8 ounces of tomato sauce with spices and meat and rice

  4. cut off tops of peppers and remove seeds and membranes

  5. stuff peppers with rice and meat mixture

  6. place in pre-heated 350 degree oven

  7. Top with extra tomato sauce every 15-20 minutes while cooking

  8. 1-1.5 hours total in oven
