Recipe Ingredients for Stuffed Green Peppers

4 green bell peppers
1 lb hamburger
1 onion
1/2 cup rice
1 tsp garlic
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tbsp Italian Seasoning
16 oz tomato sauce
1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese

Recipe Directions for Stuffed Green Peppers

Cut peppers to where there tops are open and clean and rinse. Boil enough water to cover peppers and cook for 3-5 minutes. Cook rice as directed on package. Brown hamburger with onion, add garlic and cook additional minute. Add cooked rice, Italian seasoning, salt , pepper, and all but a 1/3 cup of tomato sauce. Heat through. Place peppers in square baking dish and spoon in hamburger rice mixture evenly. Mix garlic powder and extra tomato sauce, and top peppers. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes, top with Mozzarella and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
