Green Peppers stuffed with ground turkey and rice.

Recipe Ingredients for Stuffed Green Peppers

6 Green Peppers
1 3/10 lbs Ground Turkey, 93% Lean
20 oz pasta sauce
2/3 cup brown rice
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder

Recipe Directions for Stuffed Green Peppers

  1. Remove stems and seeds from peppers

  2. Place peppers in boiling water and boil for 7-10 minutes until soft but not mushy.

  3. While peppers are boiling heat the oven to 350 degrees.

  4. While warming up, cook rice according to package.

  5. Saute turkey in a skillet until no longer pink. Drain liquid.

  6. Stir in cheese, cooked rice, garlic, and half the tomato sauce.

  7. Drain cooked peppers and fill with meat mixture topping each pepper with a spoonful of sauce.

  8. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. While cooking baste periodically with remaining sauce.
