Middle Eastern Recipe of Stuffed Grape Leaves

Recipe Ingredients for Stuffed Grape Leaves

1 lb grape leaves
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground turkey
1/2 cup rice
2 tbspn corn oil
6 small tomatoes
1 large onion
4 tbspn Crisco
1/2 cup tomatoe paste

Recipe Directions for Stuffed Grape Leaves

Mix rice, ground meat, chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, garlic and spices. Add oil to mix. Fill and roll each grape leaf with meat mixture. Placed stuffed leaves in pot with water and chicken boullion. Add 4 tbspn Crisco to pot and then 1/2 cup of tomatoe paste when water comes to a boil. Cook on medium heat for 45 minutes or until water has evaporated.
