Recipe Ingredients for stuffed cabbage rolls

12 cabbage leaves
1 lb ground beef
1 cup onion,diced
1 1/4 cup rice cooked
2 cloves garlic
2 eggs
1 smoked hock
1 1/2 cup sauerkraut
12 oz tomato paste
16 oz sour cream
1/4 t white pepper
1 t paprika
1/4 t red pepper,crushed

Recipe Directions for stuffed cabbage rolls

put diced onion in bowl,add cooked rice,white pepper,red pepper.add eggs and mix.add beef and paprika.steam cabbage head to seperate leaves.mix paste and 3 cups of water well.add garlic to meat mixture.in crock pot put smoked hock.mix meat etc well with hands.when well mixed place a couple tablespoons on cabbage leaf and fold.stack in crock pot. continue until all mixture is gone.take paste and water and pour across cabbage rolls.(forgot to layer sauerkraut on bottom before cabbage and on top of cabbage)cook until done. remove rolls from crock pot. mix sour cream into sauce in crock pot. can thicken if you want to.place roll on plate cover with sauce.use sauce as gravy over mashed potatoe.
