Recipe Ingredients for Stuffed Cabbage Leaves

1 lb lean ground beef
1/4 head cabbage, chopped
1 onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic
1 carrot, shredded
8 leaves cabbage

Recipe Directions for Stuffed Cabbage Leaves

  1. Brown the ground beef, drain fat and set aside. Saute remaining ingredients except for whole cabbage leaves until soft. Add desired spices and return hamburger to pan; heat through.

  2. Steam cabbage leaves until just tender. Place 1/8 of mixture on each leaf and fold into a packet. Secure with toothpick. Serve as is, or heat at 400 for 10 minutes.
