All the flavor of stuffed cabbage with out the work

Recipe Ingredients for stuffed cabbage cassarole

1 med. onion, chopped
1 lb. ground beef,chuck
1 head cabbage, coarsely shredded
2 cups canned tomatoes
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. rice, uncooked

Recipe Directions for stuffed cabbage cassarole

  1. Steam cabbage until tender crisp.

  2. Saute onion with ground beef. Drain well.

  3. Mix ground beef with rice and cabbage.

  4. Spread mixture in a 9 X 13 cassarole that has been sprayed with Pam.

  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Pour tomatoes over cassarole.

  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
