Healthy version with ground turkey and tomato sauce.

Recipe Ingredients for Stuffed Bell Peppers

2 green bell peppers, boiled stems and seeds removed
8 oz. (224g) ground turkey
8 oz. (227g) tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. dried onion flakes

Recipe Directions for Stuffed Bell Peppers

  1. cut stems out of tops of bell peppers and remove seeds

  2. boil in water for about 6 min or until color starts to darken, they will be tender.

  3. drain and set aside.

  4. cook ground turkey in a small skillet with garlic powder and dried onion flakes until browned.

  5. add tomato sauce

  6. simmer for about 5-10 minutes.

  7. Stuff each pepper with half the turkey and tomato sauce mixture.

  8. Serve warm or refrigerate and microwave later for a quick dinner or lunch.
