A bunch of junk I threw together on my quest to clean out the cabinets. A steak stroganoff with a tangy sauce.

Recipe Ingredients for Stroganoff ala Joky

1 lb tri-color rotini
4 tbs smart balance
3/4 cup sour cream
1/2 lb steak
2 tbs ground black pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
4 spring onions, chopped
1/2 cup sauce,stroganoff, dehydrated, dry
3 tsps salt
2 tsps parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Stroganoff ala Joky

  1. Start the water boiling in a large pot

  2. chop all vegetables (onions, garlic)

  3. slice the steak into strips or chunks whichever you prefer

  4. Once the water is boiling throw in the pasta, give it a quick stir to prevent sticking

  5. melt butter in a high sided skillet

  6. saute the vegetables for 2 minutes

  7. add the steak to the vegetables, season with the salt and pepper and cook it until it's nearly done (about 5-6 minutes depending upon the size of the steak)

  8. Add in the stroganoff pack (or other sauce pack or skip it and mix up your own spice blend)

  9. Add in the sour cream

  10. Drain Pasta

  11. Pour meat and sauce mixture over noodles, stir together

  12. Add a wee bit of the parmesan

  13. If you'd like you can turn the burner on again and cook the noodles a bit in the sauce, I like to do that

  14. and eat
