A new twist on an old favorite with shorter prep time!

Recipe Ingredients for String Pie

1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup chopped green peppers
1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
8 ounces spaghetti, cooked and drained
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 eggs, beaten
2 teaspoons olive oil
2 ounce shredded mozzarella cheese

Recipe Directions for String Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.

  2. Cook beef, onion and green pepper in large skillet over medium heat until the meat is browned.

  3. Drain fat.

  4. Stir in spaghetti sauce.

  5. Add Italian seasoning to taste.

  6. Combine spaghetti, Parmesan cheese, eggs, and olive oil in large bowl; mix well.

  7. Place in bottom of 13x9 inch baking pan; cover with sauce mixture.

  8. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.

  9. Bake until mixture is thoroughly heated and cheese is melted, about 20 minutes.
