Use quick cooking steel cut oats to make this yummy fruit filled dish if you're short on time.

Recipe Ingredients for strawberry and banana steel cut oats

1 cup 100% steel cut oats
1 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cups orange juice
1 banana
1 cup strawberries
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons shredded coconut, chopped
1 honey to taste

Recipe Directions for strawberry and banana steel cut oats

Combine the water and orange juice in a 2 qt. sauce pan and bring to a boil. Add the steel cut oats, coconut and nutmeg. I used quick cut steel cut oats so you may need to adjust the liquid amounts for regular or rolled oats. Cook according to package directions. Add strawberries and bananas. add honey to taste. Serves 4.
