These have become my family's favorite meatloaf. I triple the recipe if serving a group. If you prefer, they can be placed in the crockpot after browning, then pour the sauce over them. Delicious.

Recipe Ingredients for Stovetop Meat Loaves

3 T. Skim Milk
2 T. quick cooking oats
1 T. chopped onion
1/4 t. salt
1/2 pound extra lean ground beef
1/2 t. cornstarch
1/2 c. Tomato Sauce
1/4 c. cold water

Recipe Directions for Stovetop Meat Loaves

  1. In small bowl, combine milk, oats, onion and salt.

  2. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well.

  3. Shape into two loaves.

  4. In a small non-stick skillet, brown loaves on both sides; drain.

  5. Combine the cornstarch, tomato sauce and water until smooth.

  6. Pour over meat loaves.

  7. Bring to boil.

  8. Reduce heat to medium-low.

  9. Cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until meat is no longer pink.
