Recipe Ingredients for Stonefence Applesauce Cake

3/4 cup butter
2 1/2 cups raw sugar
2 eggs
2 1/4 cups unsweetened applesauce
3/4 cup shredded carrots
4 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
3 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. grated nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. allspice
1 1/2 tsp. ginger
1 1/2 cups almonds
1 1/2 cups golden raisins

Recipe Directions for Stonefence Applesauce Cake

  1. Mix everything in the order given.

  2. Turn into a greased & floured tube or bundt pan

  3. bake at 350 degrees for 1 hr. 30 min.

  4. Optional: Glaze with lemon or orange glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar & 1/4 c. juice or Pierce with fork & soak with syrup: 1 cup raw sugar & 1 cup apple or orange juice
