Recipe Ingredients for Stir Fried Venison with Bamboo Shoots

1 lb. venison
1 T. oil
1 onion, sliced
2 clove garlic, minced
8 oz. sliced bamboo shoots
2 T. oyster sauce
1 T. fish sauce
1 T. sugar
1/2 t. salt
1 t. black pepper
1 c. basil, torn

Recipe Directions for Stir Fried Venison with Bamboo Shoots

  1. Slice venison thinly. (Helps to do this when slightly frozen.) Heat wok or pan over very high heat. Pour in oil.

  2. Add venison, onion and garlic. Toss to seal meat.

  3. Add bamboo shoots, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, salt and pepper. Stir fry for a minute or two. Add basil and mix everything together.

  4. Serve over a half cup of cooked white rice for a 300 calorie meal. Sriracha to taste.
