What was supposed to be scones came out more like a dinner roll. Still working on this

Recipe Ingredients for Still in progress dinner roll

3 cups flour
3 tbls cornstarch
2 tbls splenda no calorie
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
10 tbls applesauce unsweetened
3/4 cup low fat buttermilk
1 egg

Recipe Directions for Still in progress dinner roll

  1. Mix dry ingrediants

  2. Add applesauce and mix with dry until small crumb consistency

  3. mix wet ingredients and then add to dry. Mix until just together

  4. With two spoons, drop onto parchment covered baking pans

  5. Bake in pre-heated 375 degree oven for 10 - 15 minutes or until golden brown.
