1 lb ground beef
15 ounce ricotta
1 egg
2 tbsp oregano
16 ounce lasagna noodle
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
2 cups pasta sauce

Recipe Directions for Steph's Favorite Lasagna

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Boil the lasagna noodle in a large pot with a bit of olive oil

  3. While the noodle is boiling, warm 1 tbsp of olive oil in a sauce pan at medium heat.

  4. Add the group beef and cook until all meat is browned.

  5. While the meat and the noodle is cooking, place the ricotta, egg and oregano is a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.

  6. In a 13x9 baking dish, place a bit of plain pasta sauce on the bottom of the pan.

  7. Take the noodle and place them in the pan.

  8. Layer the beef sauce on top.

  9. Add the ricotta mix on top.

  10. Then add the shredded mozzarella cheese on top with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

  11. Place noodle on top and repeat the previous layering 1 more time.

  12. Place the last bit of noodle on top.

  13. Spread plain (no beef) pasta sauce on top of the noodle and use the rest of your mozzarella cheese.

  14. Put tin foil on top and place in over for about 30-45 minutes. You can take the tinfoil off the last 5 minutes to give the top layer of cheese a nice baked color.

  15. Enjoy!
