1/1/2 C Steel Cut Oats 1/2 C Quinoa 10 TBS chopped walnuts 2 oz dried apricots 2 oz dried peaches 3 cinnamon sticks salt to taste

1/4 cup Steel Cut Oats Hot Cereal

Recipe Directions for Steel Cut Oats-Quinoa Hot Cereal

  1. In a large pan over high heat bring water, cinnamon stix and salt to boil. Reduce heat to simmer and add oats and quinoa. Cook for abt 30 mins until becomes thick. Stir, Remove cinnamon stix and add in chopped nuts and fruit.

  2. Serves eight.

  3. What you don't eat the first morning, transfer to glass container with tight fitting lid. Serve a 1/2 cup portion (heated in microwave for 1 min) with skim milk or fresh berries, extra cinnamon.
