Breakfast oatmeal, different texture from the traditional rolled oats, very good.

Recipe Ingredients for Steel cut Oatmeal

3/4 cup water
1/4 cup steel cut oats (quick cooking)
1/8 tsp salt
1 tblsp flax seed
1 tsp honey
1/4 cup non fat milk

Recipe Directions for Steel cut Oatmeal

  1. Bring 3/4 cups of water to a boil.

  2. Add the steel cut oats, the salt & the flax seed.

  3. lower heat, cover & cook for 5 to 7 minutes.

  4. In your breadfast bowl, place tsp honey. pour the cooked oatmeal over the hony & stir. Add up to 1/4 cup of nonfat milk to desired consistency.
