Mom's recipe of home made steamed rice pudding made in a double boiler.

Recipe Ingredients for Steamed Rice Pudding

1 cup uncooked rice
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
4 1/4 cups whole milk
1 cup raisins

Recipe Directions for Steamed Rice Pudding

Combine ingredients in top of double boiler. Cook uncovered over boiling water for about an hour or until rice is tender and milk is almost absorbed. Stir frequently, every 15 minutes at least. Serve with a splash of cream and sprinkle of nutmeg.
