Recipe Ingredients for Steak and Vegetable Stir Fry

24 ounces top round steak - sliced
1/2 cup oyster sauce
2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
3 tablespoons canola oil
3 cloves garlic
2 cups onion
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon sugar
2 1/2 cups snow peas
2 1/2 cups broccoli
3 cups cabbage
3 tablespoons corn starch
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon chili sauce

Recipe Directions for Steak and Vegetable Stir Fry

  1. Combine the steak, oyster sauce, chili sauce and soy sauce in a mixing bowl until steak is evenly coated - set aside

  2. Heat the canola oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Stir in the garlic and onion; cook and stir until onion is limp - about one minute.

  3. Add steak and marinade. Cook and stir until the steak is done, about 10 minutes

  4. Pour in 1/2 cup of water; season with pepper and sugar. Add the water chestnuts, snow peas, broccoli and cabbage. Cover; boil until vegetables are just tender - about 5 minutes

  5. Dissolve the cornstarch in 1/4 cup of water. Stir into the boiling mixture; cook until thick and no longer cloudy.
