Makes 10 servings



Melt butter and stir in flour. Cook 5 minutes. Add broth, chopped vegetables, Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil and simmer 30 to 45 minutes. Meanwhile, brown ground sirloin and drain fat. When vegetables are tender, add sirloin and simmer for 15 more minutes You may want to add a teaspoon or two of Kitchen Bouquet to make the broth deep brown.

Recipe Ingredients for Steak Soup

6 tbs Butter without salt
1/3 cup all purpose flour
7 cups broth, beef, lower sodium, fat free
1 cup chopped carrots
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup corn, sweet, yellow - frozen, kernels cut off cobb
1/2 cup green beans
1/2 cup chopped potatoes
14 1/2 ounces tomatoes, diced - canned
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 pounds sirloin, ground
