Recipe Ingredients for Steak Milanese

12 ounces steak, braising, lean, raw
2 egg whites
1 tablespoon water
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tomato, large
1/4 cup minced parsley

Recipe Directions for Steak Milanese

  1. Season the steak with salt and pepper.

  2. Combine the egg whites and water in a bowl. Dip each steak into the egg mixture and then coat with bread crumbs. Repeat with each steak.

  3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the steaks in two batches and saute until golden brown, 5 - 6 minutes for each steak, turning once.

  4. Sprinkle each steak with chopped tomato and parsley.
