Steak and kidney pie (use kidney not liver)

Recipe Ingredients for Steak and Kidney Pie

330 g beef
170 g liver
1/4 pint beef stock
1 onion
200 g wholemeal flour
100 g butter
2 tbsp water

Recipe Directions for Steak and Kidney Pie

  1. Coat beef and kidney in flour. Fry in oil till brown, add onions and fry together. Add stock and simmer until cooked.

  2. Make shortcrust pastry with the flour, butter and water - roll out to make pastry case lid

  3. Place beef, kidneys, onion and sauce in a pie dish

  4. Place pasty case lid on top

  5. Bake in oven 200C for 30-40 mins
