Since everyone likes different stuff on their fajitas (cheese, sour cream, tortillas or none) so I made it just for the filling. Makes an awesome topping for a taco salad!

Recipe Ingredients for Steak Fajita filling

1 pound steak, cut into strips
1 medium onion, cut into strips
1 large red bell pepper, cut into strips
4 cloves garlic, minced
12 tsp reduced sodium taco seasoning , (1 package)
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup grated carrots

Recipe Directions for Steak Fajita filling

Add everything in a nonstick pan over medium heat (except taco seasoning). You may need to add some water to aid in cooking. When the onions are translucent and the meat is browned, add the taco seasoning and water as directed (if you already added water to aid in cooking, make sure you factor that in). When excess water is cooked off, it's done. Serve on tortillas, over lettuce or however you like your fajitas.
