Recipe Ingredients for Steak and Ale Soup

2 1tsp Olive Oil
0.25 cup Rogers All Purpose Flour
2 lb Beef, Chuck, Tender Steak
2 medium Onions
3 clove Garlic
1 tsp, leaves Thyme, Dried
12 oz Ale
3 cup Soup, Beef Broth Or Bouillon
6 oz Carrots, Baby
4 parsnip (9" long) Parsnips
2 cup Yukon Gold Potatoes

Recipe Directions for Steak and Ale Soup

Heat oil in a skiller combine flour, 1 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper in a zipper plastic bag and toss the meat in the flour a few pieces at a time. add the meat, a few pieces at a time to the oil and brown on all sides. transfer meat to the inter of a t to 7 qt. slow cooker. when the beef is brown, add the onions, garlic and thyme to the same skillet until softened. add the ale to the pan and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. transfer contents to the slow cooker and add the broth, carrots, parnsips and potatoes. cover the cooker and cook on high for 4-5 hours or low for 8-10 hours until the veggies are tender and the is fork tender. season with salt and pepper before serving.
