Standard Bread Recipe

I make it about 1x a week and it's good. Sometimes I use buttermilk and wheatgerm.

Recipe Ingredients for standard bread

2 cups skim milk
2 tablespoons baker's yeast
1/2 cup canola oil
2 cups whole wheat flour
6 cups flour
1 potato
2 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup dried skim milk
1 cup warm water

Recipe Directions for standard bread

  1. let yeast proof in water and sugar

  2. heat milk, mash cooked potato with milk. Add extra dried milk to the mix.

  3. mix all wets, including eggs.

  4. add flour and knead for about ten minutes. If you have a big mixer good luck!

  5. let rise twice.

  6. bake at 375 for about 25 minutes depending on loaf size (I make about 4 loaves with this)
