29 ounces Swanson's vegetable broth
6 cups water
3 teaspoons Better Than Bouillon No Beef Base
3/4 cup dried mushrooms
1 1/2 cup onion
3 cloves garlic
1/2 cup white wine
3/4 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon dill
1/2 teaspoon oregano
2 teaspoon parsley
2 tablespoons white vinegar

Recipe Directions for Stacy's Onion Soup with Dried Mushrooms

  1. Soak mushrooms in 3 cups water, strain water for broth.

  2. Sautee onions and garlic.

  3. Add stock.

  4. Add mushrooms.

  5. Cook until flavors meld, add herbs. Cook 5 minutes longer.

  6. Remove from heat, add vinegar to taste.
