Squash - Apple Bake Recipe

Can also use buttercup or butternut

Recipe Ingredients for SQUASH - APPLE BAKE

2 lb. acorn squash
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. I can't believe it's not butter, light, melted
1 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
4 small apples, cored & cut into 1/2 inch slices

Recipe Directions for SQUASH - APPLE BAKE

  1. Cut squash into halves. Remove seeds and fibers. Pare. Cut into 1/2 inch slices. Mix brown sugar, butter, flour, salt and nutmeg. Arrange squash in ungreased baking dish. Top with apple slices. "Sprinkle" sugar mixture over top. Cover, bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until squash is tender. Serves 6.

  2. I used a 9x14 inch glass dish and divided it into 12 servings
