Recipe Ingredients for Sponge cake

8 oz Margarine
3 medium Egg, Whole
8 oz Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
8 oz Sugars, Granulated
6 oz Powdered Sugar
2 oz Margarine Soft

Recipe Directions for Sponge cake

beat marg, sugar, flour and eggs. Place in greased tin and bake 50 mins on gas 3 in 8inch square tin. Once cooled split in two and put butter icing in centre*2oz marg and 4oz icing sugar. Glace icing 2 oz icing sugar and enough water to make firm but spreadable icing.
