in a slow cooker. precook the bacon and add it to slow cooker. You can use ham hocks as well removing them after 4 hours and seperating the meat and adding it back in.

2 pan fried slices Hickory Smoked Bacon
16 oz Select Dried Split Green Peas
2 cup, chopped Carrots
1 cup slices Parsnips
1 cup, diced Celery
2 clove Garlic
1 large Onions
1/2 teaspoon Thyme
1 tsp Salt, Table
1 tsp Pepper, Black
6 cups water
