Recipe Ingredients for Split Pea Soup

1 cup dry split peas
1 cup onions, diced
1 cup carrots, diced
1 cup celery, diced
6 slices Canadian Bacon, diced
5 oz Italian Sausage
1 potato, diced
2 T light butter

Recipe Directions for Split Pea Soup

  1. Clean peas and place them in 6-8 cups of hot water.

  2. Simmer while you complete the next steps.

  3. Saute Italian sausage in light butter with canola oil.

  4. Stir in the diced Canadian Bacon.

  5. Add diced onions, carrots, celery, and potato.

  6. Simmer for approximately 30 minutes until peas as soft.
