Recipe Ingredients for Split-Pea Soup

2 tbsp. olive oil
1 cup carrots, chopped
1 cup onions, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
1/2 lb. ham, honey
1 1/2 cup split peas, dried
8 cups water

Recipe Directions for Split-Pea Soup

  1. Saute vegetables in olive oil. Cook 8 minutes. Add hame and marjoram. Cook 1 minute. Add peas and water. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove ham and cut into bite size pieces.

  2. Puree the peas.
