Recipe Ingredients for Split Pea Soup

2 quarts water
2 cups split peas
1 onion
3 celery stalks
1 tbsp olive oil
1 medium potato
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp garlic
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Split Pea Soup

  1. chop & saute onion in oil

  2. Add garlic, salt, cumin

  3. Add soy sauce and split peas

  4. add water & bring to boil

  5. simmer 1 hour

  6. Add potatoes and celery

  7. simmer 30 minutes

  8. serve
