Recipe Ingredients for Split Pea and Pumpkin Soup

16 oz Split Peas
4 oz Pumpkin
1 Cube Stock Cubes
1 large Onions
0.25 tsp Garlic Powder
0.25 tsp Pepper, Black
1/2 tsp Thyme, Fresh
3 cup (8 fl oz) Water

Recipe Directions for Split Pea and Pumpkin Soup

  1. Wash and soak peas. Peel and chop the pumpkin and onion.

  2. Bring water to the boil in a saucepan. Add peas, thyme, chicken cube, and pepper, simmer until soft.

  3. Add remaining ingredients and continue cooking until pumpkin is tender.

  4. Pour into a blender or food processor and puree. Adjust the seasoning, then reheat in the saucepan before serving.
