Tasty soup packed with protein and fiber. Add spices to your liking. I added garlic and some chili powder.

Recipe Ingredients for Split Pea & Lentil Soup - Vegan

6 c water
1 c vegetable juice
1 1/4 c lentils
1 1/4 c split peas
1/2 large onion
1 T salt
1 T liquid smoke

Recipe Directions for Split Pea & Lentil Soup - Vegan

  1. rinse and drain lentils and peas. chop onion to any size you like, or leave whole and remove after cooking. put all into a crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours.

  2. This is a great dinner when served with a nice chunk of whole grain bread!
