Home Made Split Pea Soup With Lower Sodium Ham

Recipe Ingredients for Split Pea & Ham Soup

16 oz Select Dried Split Green Peas
16 oz Branded Deluxe Ham - 42% Lower Sodium
8 cup (8 fl oz) Water
1 small Onions
1 cup, chopped Carrots
1 cup, diced Celery

Recipe Directions for Split Pea & Ham Soup

  1. Heat Pea's & Water in Big Pot ; boil 2 minutes, turn off heat cover and let sit 60 minutes.

  2. Slice Ham into small chunks, add with , onions to peas heat to boiling, reduce heat simmer for 60 minutes.

  3. Stir in Carrots and Celery, Heat to boiling, reduce heat, Cover and simmer @45 minutes until vegitables are tender.

  4. Total Time @ 2 hours, 45 minutes.
