Pea soup made from the stock of a boiled ham bone.

Recipe Ingredients for Split Pea and Ham Soup

8 cups pork stock
16 oz dried split peas
3 oz baby carrots, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
16 oz ham, chopped

Recipe Directions for Split Pea and Ham Soup

  1. Boil unsliced portion of a spiral sliced ham with bone in for several hours to create stock.

  2. Remove bone and break apart ham into pieces.

  3. Add peas, carrots and onion.

  4. Bring to boil, then simmer 45-60 min.
