Recipe Ingredients for Splenda Low Calorie Cranberry-Lemon Scones

8 oz self raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 oz smart balance omega plus, softened
3 tbsp Splenda Granulated
2 oz dried cranberries
1/2 cup fat free milk

Recipe Directions for Splenda Low Calorie Cranberry-Lemon Scones

  1. 1 Preheat the oven to 220°C/210°C Fan/Gas Mark 7.

  2. 2 Line a baking sheet with non-stick baking parchment.

  3. 3 Sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl. Add the margarine and cut through with a round-ended knife. Using fingertips, rub the margarine into the flour until it resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in the SPLENDA® Granulated, sultanas and lemon zest.

  4. 4 Mix in the milk to form a soft-dough. Knead lightly to combine. Lightly flour the work surface then roll or press out to approximately 2cm/¾ inch thick. Using a 5cm/2inch fluted cutter, make 10 rounds.

  5. 5 Transfer to the baking sheet, brush with the reserved milk.

  6. 6 Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and risen.

  7. 7 Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Split and serve warm with SPLENDA® Strawberry jam.
